Rabbi Rubin's 3rd/4th grade boys have been learning about the 39 malachos.
A number of the melachos of Shabbos are involved in the production of leather. "We tried our hand at tanning a small piece of sheepskin to demonstrate a number of the malachos. A special shout out to Dov Chazanow, who was the only boy willing to hold the raw sheepskin while I scraped it. The boys learned a lot and we have enough leather to try writing a small mezzuzah."
